Strategic Financial Analyst, GTM
Benchling
Benchling seeks a Strategic Financial Analyst to support the Field organization's financial planning and analysis. The role centers on budgeting, forecasting, sales performance tracking, and monthly/quarterly financial close processes for the GTM team.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for Field Organizations
- Deliver monthly and quarterly financial analyses including budget-versus-actual variances
- Support sales commission calculations, reporting, and annual compensation plan design
- Partner with Accounting on monthly close activities including collections and payments
- Develop and improve sales and customer metrics including revenue, ARR, quota attainment
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent
- 2–5 years FP&A or Strategic Finance experience
- At least 2 years supporting Sales, Marketing, or GTM function at SaaS company
- Strong financial modeling, GAAP accounting, and FP&A best practices knowledge
- Advanced Excel/Sheets proficiency and planning tool experience (Adaptive, Anaplan, or similar)
- Excellent communication and ability to present complex analyses to leadership
- Salesforce and Certinia experience preferred
