Tax Senior Manager – Commercial Real Estate

Location: New York City

Working Arrangement: Hybrid

Ready to take greater ownership of a real estate tax practice?

An established CPA and advisory firm is seeking an experienced Tax Senior Manager to lead complex engagements across its Commercial Real Estate client base.

The firm advises real estate owners, developers, investment groups and partnerships on their ongoing tax obligations and wider commercial decisions.

This position offers the opportunity to move beyond engagement delivery and become involved in client strategy, team leadership and practice development.

The Role

You'll be responsible for:

Leading complex real estate tax engagements and overseeing technical quality.
Reviewing partnership, corporate and multistate tax matters.
Advising on real estate transactions, ownership structures and tax planning opportunities.
Overseeing partnership allocations, basis considerations and K-1 reporting.
Managing relationships with senior client stakeholders.
Working alongside Partners on advisory engagements and technical issues.
Developing Tax Managers and Senior Associates.
Supporting business development and expanding existing client relationships.
Contributing to the growth of the real estate tax practice.

About You

8+ years of public accounting tax experience.
Active CPA preferred; other relevant tax qualifications considered.
Significant experience with commercial real estate or real estate investment clients.
Strong partnership tax technical knowledge.
Experience managing large or complex engagements.
Proven ability to lead teams and maintain senior client relationships.
Commercial awareness and an interest in business development.
