Job Overview

\n

The Assistant Project Manager, Store Design & Construction is a key contributor to the design and construction of Effy Jewelry's retail stores across cruise and land locations. Working closely with the Sr. Project Manager, this role owns FF&E vendor relationships, serves as the primary point of contact for Maintenance projects, and drives procurement and project execution from concept through completion. Operating cross-functionally with Finance, Design & Construction, Creative, and Logistics, it manages project timelines and ensures clear communication across the department and with cruise line partners. Strong judgment, a high degree of ownership, and the ability to manage competing priorities independently are essential. This role is based at our New York City headquarters and requires being onsite five days a week.

This position is open to remote candidates nationwide. Candidates located in or near the New York City area will be required to work onsite at our headquarters five days per week.

Key Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Directs the execution of all incoming Maintenance and construction projects, partnering closely with the Operations Integrations Manager, external contractors, and Cruise Line partners.
\n
• Serves as the primary point of contact for all FF&E vendors, owning vendor relationships and procurement for lighting, carpets, signage, and loose furniture.
\n
• Manages all project details within Asana on behalf of the Senior Project Manager and Project Manager, ensuring information is accurate and current ahead of team briefings.
\n
• Plans and organizes upcoming projects up to 12 months in advance, in partnership with the Senior Project Manager and Senior Ops Integrations Manager.
\n
• Owns and maintains owner-supplied item costs within each project's budget tracker, ensuring accuracy and accountability across all active projects.
\n
• Drives the timely execution of tasks and deliverables using Asana, holding stakeholders accountable to project timelines.
\n
• Exercises independent judgment in managing additional responsibilities as they arise, in support of the Store Design + Construction team's broader goals.

Qualifications

\n

\n
• 1–3 years of hands-on project management experience, owning projects from concept through completion
\n
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to manage relationships across internal departments and external vendors
\n
• Ability to manage several concurrent projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
\n
• Experience tracking and managing project budgets with accuracy and accountability
\n
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a proactive approach to work
\n
• Strong problem-solving instincts and sound independent judgment
\n
• Resourceful in finding answers independently, while knowing when to ask the right questions
\n
• Genuine curiosity about cruise construction
\n
• Prior construction management or on-site construction experience is a strong plus
\n
• Familiarity with the cruise industry is a plus
\n
• Prior experience using Asana or a similar project management platform is a plus
\n

Salary Range:

\n

$70,000 - $80,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

\n

\n
