Job Summary Sign on bonus: Up to $10,000 Bonus Based on Eligibility Position Summary Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization. Responsibilities Implements and monitors patient care plans; monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate; serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care; notes and carries out physician and nursing orders; assesses and coordinates patient’s discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team; assessment includes physiological, psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and life-style factors. Initial assessment Re-assessment Focused assessment based on patient condition, setting and population Problem identification; planning and outcomes – set measurable and achievable short- and long-range goals in collaboration with the patient and family; data, problem identification, and goals written in the patient’s care plan. Establishing daily goals with the patient and family Formulating a plan of care Transition or discharge planning Implementation – nursing care is implemented according to the care plan; care is documented; ensures patient safety; medication administration; ordered treatments; patient/family education; provision of nursing care; documentation in healthcare record. Delegation Supervision Prioritization Qualifications Minimum Requirements: Education: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing License and Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association Valid current Arizona Nursing License or compact state license and ability to become Arizona Licensed in 30 days. Preferred Requirements: Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – American Heart Association, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) or others as required by individual department.
