Mechanical Engineer & Engineering Manager

New Product Development – Performance Automotive Braking Systems

We are currently hiring for two engineering positions:

1. Engineering Manager / Lead Engineer

This position will lead Engineering and R&D operations while overseeing the development, testing, and production launch of new brake caliper systems and related components. The role will also supervise Designers and support cross-functional manufacturing and production initiatives.

2. Mechanical Design Engineer

This position will focus on CAD development, product design, production drawings, fitment analysis, prototyping support, and manufacturing documentation for new braking system applications.

Key Responsibilities

New Product Development

• Research and obtain vehicle application data through OEM resources, SEMA Data Co-Op, historical documentation, and physical vehicle analysis

• Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and manufacturing data

• Develop and validate brake system sizing, fitment, and component compatibility

• Create and oversee 3D CAD models and assemblies using SolidWorks or equivalent software

• Collaborate with manufacturing and production teams to develop and refine prototypes

• Conduct product testing and fitment trials to ensure proper functionality, quality, and performance

• Support continuous product improvement initiatives

Engineering & Manufacturing Support

• Serve as a technical resource for Engineering, Production, and Quality departments

• Develop and maintain Engineering Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

• Assist in identifying manufacturing efficiencies and process improvements

• Support production troubleshooting and technical problem-solving initiatives

Additional Responsibilities

• Identify new vehicle applications and product opportunities to support company growth

• Assist with special engineering, manufacturing, and shop projects as needed

• Contribute to a collaborative, team-oriented engineering environment

Qualifications & Skills

• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of mechanical design principles

• Experience with automotive braking systems and hydraulic components preferred

• Proficiency in SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar 3D CAD software

• Ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications

• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills

• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; advanced Excel experience is a plus

• CAM software experience is highly desirable

• Self-motivated with the ability to learn independently and adapt quickly

Requirements

Engineering Manager / Lead Engineer

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience

• Minimum 5 years of mechanical design and engineering experience

• Leadership or project management experience preferred

Mechanical Design Engineer

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience

• 1–3 years of engineering or CAD design experience preferred
