The Staff Accountant will have a broad set of responsibilities, encompassing comprehensive elements of the role: accounting, transaction processing, account reconciliation, and financial analysis. Responsibilities: Prepare supporting schedules and record regular journal entries in general ledger systems Prepare general ledger account reconciliations on a monthly basis across affiliated companies Fixed asset maintenance in sub-ledger and general ledger across affiliated companies Perform monthly expense account analysis to ensure accurate cost reporting Review transactional details and postings for accuracy and reasonableness Review job costing to ensure accurate recording of revenues and expenses Various additional accounting and financial reporting tasks Serve as backup to other Accounting Department team members Special projects as assigned Job Qualifications: Degree in Accounting or 2+ years prior accounting experience Superior communication and interpersonal skills Strong computer skills with an emphasis on Microsoft Office suite of products. Prior experience working with business software programs a plus, including Sage Intaact, ServiceTitan, and Quickbooks. Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining superior quality and accuracy Aptitude for detailed work, data analysis, problem solving and follow-up Excellent verbal, written, and non-verbal communication skills Strong leadership skills Conflict management and problem solving Lead by example by maintaining strong ethics and values, trust, and integrity Quality decision making Analytical skills Ability to work collaboratively with a team of non-direct reports The starting yearly base salary range for this position is $68,000 to $70,000 . This is the range of the base pay only, it does not include other components that make up the total compensation package of the position. If offered a position, your total compensation package will be determined by experience, location, skills, and/or education which may result in a total compensation package that falls outside of the provided range.
