Neuro Icu Travel Nurse – Adult

Title: Neuro Icu Travel Nurse – Adult

Schedule:

• Shift: Day/Night rotation (every 4 weeks)
• Day shift: 3x12 — 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
• Night shift: 3x12 — 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
• Weekends: every other weekend (Day weekends = Sat/Sun; Night weekends = Fri/Sat)

Assignment Details:

• Guaranteed Hours: ~36 hrs/week

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Neuro ICU
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Required certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS (AHA certifications only)
• Valid compact or state RN license required at time of submission
• Experience with special equipment/procedures, including EVD/ICP monitoring, EEG, mechanical ventilation, bedside trach/PEG, central/arterial lines.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide care for patients with conditions such as ischemic/hemorrhagic stroke, SAH, seizures, neuromuscular disorders, meningitis, and post-op neurosurgery.
• Manage ventilators, airway care, suctioning, and trach care.
• Monitor ICP/EVD and perform neuromonitoring care.
• Administer medications including hemodynamic and vasoactive drips and recognize dysrhythmias.
• Provide post-op neurosurgical care and manage stroke patients.

Compliance / Notes:

• Candidates must complete background checks and fingerprinting promptly after signing contract.
• Refer to the account manager regarding orientation, parking, and scrub policies.
