For more information, visit us at DescriptionProduction Associate 1JOB DETAILSBase Pay: $17.25 per hour2nd Shift: 3:45 pm - 12:15 amDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Argon/Patching Operator is responsible for the filling and sealing of Insulated Glass (IG) units in the cooling area of the Glass Department. Successful candidates enjoy working in a fast-paced, physically demanding, and repetitive work environment, which includes heavy lifting or working with your hands.Consistently hold cycle time of the positionFill IG units with argon gas using the gas filling machineFill the gas installation hole with a screw using a powered screwdriverSeal the open corner of the IG unit with butylMovement of carts in and out of production work area Communicate quality issues observed either upstream or downstream of their positionCommunicate mechanical issues with the machines to leadership or maintenance staffQualificationsQualifications Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and stand for duration of entire shift.Must have fine motor skills. Stacking requires precision placement of spacer on the glass units and alignment of 2nd glass lite onto the spacerAbility to work in tandem with another operatorAbility to locate minor quality defects in glass, grids and spacersMust cross-train and rotate on various workstations within line/complex.
