Pay Rate: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Buyer III to support procurement operations within a fast-paced manufacturing and technology-driven environment. This role is responsible for managing the full procurement lifecycle for indirect materials and services, with a focus on Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) products, engineering and IT hardware, and technical materials and services.

The ideal candidate will possess strong sourcing, negotiation, supplier management, and procurement systems experience while effectively collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Sourcing

• Manage end-to-end procurement activities for indirect spend categories.
• Process purchase requisitions and convert them into purchase orders.
• Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on cost, quality, delivery, and service performance.
• Issue RFQs and RFPs and perform competitive bid evaluations.
• Support category management and strategic sourcing initiatives.
• Ensure timely procurement of goods and services to meet business requirements.

COTS Product Procurement

• Procure standard commercial off-the-shelf products across multiple categories.
• Identify opportunities for standardization and catalog purchasing.
• Maintain strong relationships with distributors, manufacturers, and suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance and cost-saving opportunities.

Engineering & IT Hardware Procurement

• Procure computing equipment, networking components, test equipment, and peripherals.
• Partner with Engineering and IT teams to understand technical requirements.
• Ensure procurement aligns with lifecycle management, compatibility, and security requirements.
• Track deliveries and resolve supply chain issues proactively.

Supplier Management & Negotiation

• Build and maintain effective supplier relationships.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, contracts, and service agreements.
• Drive cost savings and value-added purchasing initiatives.
• Resolve supplier issues related to quality, delivery, invoicing, and performance.

Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and applicable regulations.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
• Support audits and reporting requirements.
• Monitor procurement processes for adherence to quality and compliance standards.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Procurement, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of procurement or purchasing experience.
• Experience managing indirect procurement categories.
• Hands-on experience purchasing COTS products and IT/technology hardware.
• Strong supplier management and negotiation skills.
• Experience using ERP or procurement systems such as:
• SAP
• Oracle
• Coupa
• Similar procurement platforms
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or other highly regulated industries.
• Knowledge of procurement compliance requirements, quality standards, and traceability processes.
