Care Advocate

We're hiring a Care Advocate to join a growing healthcare team in Dallas. This role provides personalized support to employees navigating surgical or oncology treatment. You'll be their main point of contact throughout the process, helping with everything from finding the right provider and scheduling appointments to coordinating travel and following up after treatment. This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate or someone early in their healthcare career who wants to gain hands-on experience and grow within the industry. Responsibilities Serve as the main point of contact for members receiving surgical or oncology care. Explain benefits, coverage options, and next steps in the care process. Help members find quality, cost-effective providers and facilities. Schedule consultations, imaging, surgery, pre-op, and post-op appointments. Coordinate hotels, flights, transportation, and other travel arrangements when needed. Contact provider offices to request medical records, confirm insurance information, and verify appointments. Keep detailed and accurate case notes in the CRM system. Manage a caseload of up to approximately 90 members while staying on top of follow-ups. Meet performance goals related to case progression, scheduling, quality, and documentation. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; Associate's degree may be considered with strong experience and professionalism. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Professional and confident phone presence. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Highly organized with the ability to multitask and prioritize. Empathetic and professional when working with members during stressful healthcare situations. Consistent work history and reliable attendance. Preferred Experience Medical office support Insurance or benefits Training 4 weeks of classroom training followed by a 2-week transition period. Three graded assessments must be successfully completed. No absences are permitted during training. After training, attendance follows an occurrence-based system. Schedule & Location Fully onsite in Dallas, TX. Hybrid eligibility may be available after 9 months of strong performance. Shifts fall between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM and typically remain consistent for 6-12 months. Occasional 1:00 PM-10:00 PM shift approximately once per month, which may be remote. $150/month commuter parking stipend.
