About the Role

Premier Global Links LLC is seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead culinary operations within a large, multi-unit university dining program in Johnson City, Tennessee.

This hands-on leadership role will oversee culinary quality, menu development, food production, catering, staff training, food and labor costs, and food safety. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-volume, fast-paced food service environment and can lead teams while delivering an exceptional dining experience for students, faculty, staff, and guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily culinary operations across a large university dining program.
• Develop menus, recipes, and culinary concepts that meet diverse customer needs.
• Ensure food quality, recipe compliance, presentation, and production standards.
• Hire, train, coach, and develop culinary and utility staff.
• Manage catering operations from planning through execution.
• Partner with catering, retail, and management teams to deliver high-quality events and services.
• Manage food costs, labor costs, budgets, and operational performance.
• Use food inventory, ordering, production, and management systems effectively.
• Drive culinary innovation and continuous improvement across dining operations.
• Monitor and maintain HACCP, food safety, sanitation, and physical safety standards.
• Build strong relationships with customers, clients, staff, and university stakeholders.
• Support customer satisfaction, brand standards, and overall dining program success.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• 3+ years of management experience in food service or culinary operations.
• 3+ years of functional experience in restaurants, catering, institutional dining, university dining, or similar food service environments.
• Demonstrated experience managing food and labor costs , P&L, and budgets.
• Experience managing catering operations from planning through execution.
• Experience leading and training culinary teams.
• Working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, and production systems.
• Strong HACCP and food safety knowledge.
• Excellent communication, organization, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Work Schedule

Sunday–Thursday | 12:00 PM–10:00 PM
