Accounting Technician

Monday to Friday 8-5
Paid Weekly
Must be able to read , write and speak in English
Must be able to complete Background and Drug Screenings
Accounting Technician
Provides assistance and information to internal and external callers and visitors regarding the department, its programs and services, and the administrative support functions. Refers callers/visitors to appropriate staff as needed. Reviews and summarizes a variety of fiscal, statistical and administrative information; prepares related reports and memoranda. Develops and revises division forms and report formats, as well as report preparation procedures. Receives and processes financial documents such as purchase order requisitions and invoices; reviews documents; ensures accuracy; completes with appropriate information such as account codes. Enters information into SAP and submits for processing. Monitors accounting activities and compares with established budgets and/or projections. Prepares reports of accounting activities such as grant reporting summaries, reports of budget deviations, open purchase orders, etc.
