Litigation Paralegal

Responsibilities Drafting pleadings, motions and complaints Calendaring and managing court deadlines Reserving court hearings and depositions Preparing documents for filing with the state and federal court Document retrieval and review Assist with pre-trial preparation, including drafting trial documents and preparing exhibits Contact court clerk for information as needed Issuing subpoenas and notices Required Experience And Skills 6-10 years of experience as a litigation paralegal required Experience propounding and responding to written discovery Knowledge of Federal, California Civil Procedure and Local Court Rules Strong written and oral communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word and Excel Great time management and multi-tasking skills Must be organized, detail-oriented and a self-starter Type at least 60 WPM Experience in employment law is highly preferred, but not required Experience with trial preparation is highly preferred, but not required Employment law litigation experience is required Strong trial preparation experience is required Must be comfortable handling a high-volume caseload in an onsite environment Litigation: 2 years (Required) Benefits 401(k) Dental insurance Flexible schedule Free parking Health insurance Life insurance Opportunities for advancement Paid sick time Paid time off Vision insurance #J-18808-Ljbffr
