Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step confidently into a rewarding contract opportunity to make a difference as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting students near Starkville, MS. This impactful role spans the academic year, beginning July 27, 2026, and continuing through May 26, 2027. You'll provide dedicated care two days per week, working up to 16 hours every week alongside passionate educators and professionals—all focused on helping students achieve lasting communication goals.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Hold a master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active state licensure as an SLP (or eligibility by the start date)
- School-based SLP experience preferred
- Familiarity with IEP documentation and compliance
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt strategies for diverse student needs
- Positive, student-focused mindset
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Deliver direct therapy services to students in group and individual settings
- Document progress notes, maintain IEP records, and participate in meetings
- Consult and collaborate with educators, staff, and families
- Offer expertise and training to enhance language development across the school environment
- Monitor student growth and adjust interventions as needed
