Senior Tax Analyst

Abbott seeks a Senior Tax Analyst to manage sales and use tax audits across the organization and its U.S. subsidiaries. The role involves serving as primary liaison with state tax authorities, coordinating multiple concurrent audits, researching tax regulations, and developing strategies to minimize tax exposure.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate multiple sales and use tax audits for Abbott and subsidiaries
• Serve as primary contact between tax auditors and internal business stakeholders
• Respond to auditor inquiries, documentation requests, and questionnaires accurately and timely
• Research tax laws and regulations to support audit positions and challenge assessments
• Develop strategies to minimize audit assessments and mitigate tax liabilities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years managing sales and use tax audits
• Strong knowledge of U.S. sales and use tax laws and procedures
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent audits independently
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• CPA designation or progress toward certification (preferred)

Compensation: $86,700–$173,300 base
