Safety Manager - Transportation

Job Type: Full-time, Exempt Location: Onsite, Phoenix Headquarters Schedule : M-F, 8-5, Varies, 40+ hours /week includes weekends as determined by the business needs Job Summary The Safety Manager is responsible for providing transportation safety expertise and support to the entire organization. The role is ultimately responsible for ensuring that The Driver Provider operates in strict compliance with all transportation and safety regulations and laws, all employees received adequate and ongoing support and education regarding compliance, and that all documentation is in alignment with both organizational and external regulatory requirements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintain vehicle and chauffeur Department of Transportation (DOT) compliance files through electronic tools and paper files. Safety training and vehicle specific training for all chauffeur staff as well as general safety training for the organization. Maintain chauffeur compliance with Internal brand standards. Work closely with other departments like Human Resources, Recruiting and Training to maintain high caliber chauffeur standards. Other operational responsibilities within the scope of safety and quality control as assigned. Significant focus on attention to detail, organization, and clear communication skills. Able to quickly absorb and work in industry specific applications and company specific programs. Conduct New Hire Orientation presentation on safety, pre-and post-trips, and answer any questions. Job Qualifications / Requirements HS diploma or equivalent required Commercial Driver’s License with Passenger Endorsement (Preferred) Possess a professional and positive attitude Excellent written and verbal communication skills Organized with deep attention to detail Proficient knowledge of MS Office products: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint Able to quickly absorb and work in industry specific applications and company specific programs such as Motive, Santa Cruz and Driver Schedule and adapt to change Passenger, fleet, or trucking transportation industry DOT knowledge Experience working on a professional team. Eligibility Requirements Legal authorization to work in the United States 23 years or older for company vehicle insurance requirements Commercial Driver’s License with Passenger Endorsement Work in Phoenix, Arizona with travel to other corporate locations as needed Undergo a pre-employment background investigation/Drug Test Special Requirements Must be willing and able to travel to and attend training and meetings within or outside the boundaries of the home area; Must be willing and able to work outside regular business hours and on occasional weekends, attending meetings, etc. as needed.
