About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join their executive leadership team. The COO will be a strategic and operational partner to the CEO, with a focus on driving the organization's operational performance, growth, and strategic execution. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between the physician executive vision and day-to-day operations, ensuring the delivery of exceptional surgical and clinical care while maintaining long-term organizational sustainability. Key responsibilities include providing enterprise-wide leadership for various operational aspects, fostering a culture of quality, safety, and service excellence, and leading initiatives that improve efficiencies, patient outcomes, and financial performance. The COO will also be responsible for financial stewardship, IT applications, marketing, and communications, and will play a critical role in the organization's growth and innovation strategies. Candidates for the COO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in a related field, with a minimum of 10 years' progressive ambulatory healthcare leadership experience and at least 7 years in a senior executive role overseeing multi-site healthcare operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare operations, financial management, and strategic planning, with a focus on ambulatory operations. Experience in leading large-scale operational and organizational transformation initiatives, as well as a proven track record of partnering with physician-led organizations, is essential. The COO must demonstrate visionary leadership, strategic planning, and the ability to drive change in a complex, matrixed environment. Strong communication, negotiation skills, and a commitment to the highest standards of integrity and ethics are also required.
