Accountant Needed ASAP
Contract role to $35 hourly
Great Cypress location
Coverage for a medical leave!
Accounting/Finance
- Control all company finances and manage company bank accounts
- Manage shipment billing, and collection of receivables
- Ensure accounts payable is entered accurately and timely
- Approve payments to vendors
- Act as co-signer on checks
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financials
- Complete weekly/bi weekly payroll
- Act as system manager; partner with outside IT firm
Human Resources
- Set up new employees including company files and payroll
- Maintain employee files
- Update management on laws/regulations regarding human resources and payroll
- Administer insurance/benefits and 401(k) plans in partnership with broker; manage employee vacation and sick
- Work with security company; responsible for adding/deleting employee security codes and entry/exit system
- Maintain Employee Manual
Experience Needed –
- 5+ years experience in small to medium sized company in like role
- Great Excel skills
- Complete understanding of accounting principles
- Working knowledge of HR
- Prefer bilingual (English/German)
- M1 experience helpful
