Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The RN will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, specifically within the MedSurg department. The position involves caring for post-operative recovery patients and floating as needed within the scope of practice.

Unit Information

• Patient Ratios: 1:5 for MedSurg patients
• Care Setting: Acute
• Trauma Level: 1
• Charting System: EPIC

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the MedSurg department.
• Monitor patient status and progress, implementing care plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on health management and wellness strategies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in MedSurg or related field.
• Experience with oncology patients preferred.
• Registered Nurse License required.
• BLS Certification required.

Additional Requirements

• Candidates must not be employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with the organization.
• Artificial nails are prohibited; compliance with the fingernail policy is required.
• Driver's license is required and will be used for location verification.
• Pass/Fail exam during orientation is necessary, with a minimum passing score of 90%.

Shift Details

This position requires 12-hour night shifts. Flexibility to float within the department may be necessary.
