Travel Nurse RN - Oncology Med Surg - $2,453 per week

Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Oncology Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/14/2026 Duration: 18 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $ 2452.60 Opportunity: RN - PCU Oncology Job Details: • 12-hour shifts available on days (6:30 AM - 7:00 PM) and nights (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM) • Every other weekend required • Self-scheduling available but will be balanced to the needs of the unit • Primary patient population includes adult oncology PCU and trauma PCU patients • 18-bed unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:5 on both days and nights • Minimum 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers accepted • Oncology experience preferred; strong PCU experience without oncology may be considered • Charge nurse experience not required • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA) • ONS/ONCC certification preferred but not required • Chemotherapy certification preferred but not required • Two days of unit orientation provided • Travelers may float to other Med/Surg and PCU units at the same level of care • Must be comfortable titrating insulin and Cardizem drips • Common drips and medications include chemotherapy, heparin, Cardizem, and Protonix • Respiratory equipment commonly encountered includes high-flow oxygen • EMR system: Epic • IV pumps: Alaris • Lyko lifts available in even-numbered rooms with additional lift equipment available • Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments • Must pass an open-book skills exam during orientation with a minimum score of 90% • Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; valid driver's license required at submittal • Up to 4 shifts may be cancelled per 13-week assignment; up to 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks Facility: This acute care facility is a Level 1 trauma center offering comprehensive inpatient services across a variety of specialties.
