Mobile Fleet Technician

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair customers’ commercial tractors and trailers Write detailed work orders for mobile road calls and in-yard work Provide quality customer service Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair semi-truck and trailer bodies, systems, and components Perform preventative maintenance on fleet semi-trucks and trailers Maintain hubs and axles and adjust or replace them when required Inspect, service, and replace tractor and trailer parts, including tires Check and repair brake, electrical, and hydraulic systems Test systems and equipment for performance issuesEnsure trailers meet U.S. Department of Transportation road safety requirements Compile inspection reports, document repairs, and report findings to management Respond to client queries as soon as possible Work 12-hour shifts with an on-call rotation while remaining available for service calls Requirements At least 5 years of experience as an experienced mobile diesel mechanic, based on the stated starting pay amount Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial tractors and trailers Experience inspecting and repairing semi-truck and trailer bodies, systems, and components Knowledge of preventative maintenance for fleet semi-trucks and trailers Ability to maintain, adjust, and replace hubs and axles Ability to inspect, service, and replace tractor and trailer parts, including tires Knowledge of brake, electrical, and hydraulic systems Ability to test systems and equipment for performance issues Knowledge of U.S. Department of Transportation road safety requirements Ability to write detailed work orders and compile inspection reports Ability to work 12-hour shifts and participate in an on-call rotation Commitment to customer service, professionalism, honesty, integrity, safety, and quality standards Core Competencies Demonstrates extensive experience in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing commercial tractors and trailers, with a strong focus on preventative maintenance and compliance with U.S. Department of Transportation safety requirements.
