Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Authorization in Sanford, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Access Control Security Officer at a residential location, you will manage entry points, verify visitors and credentials, monitor access activity, and help maintain a welcoming, secure environment for residents and guests. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and vendors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, issue access credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and delivery records.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, parking areas, building perimeters, and access points to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Communicate professionally with residents, property staff, and emergency responders while documenting security-related observations and incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
