- Office-based collaboration with attorneys and paralegal staff, including hybrid and remote team members
Position Overview
Our staffing firm is partnering with an established legal services team to identify an experienced Paralegal for a full-time, hybrid role. This position supports a high-volume litigation practice and requires strong organizational skills, comfort working with strict deadlines, and the ability to manage fast-moving matters. The ideal candidate will be comfortable handling both administrative and trial-related responsibilities while working closely with attorneys, courts, and external stakeholders to ensure cases move forward efficiently and in compliance with applicable laws and timelines.
Key Responsibilities
Document & Mail Processing
- Process incoming mail, including original and court-issued documentation
- Perform hands-on/manual document handling
- Maintain secure, well-organized storage of physical and electronic documents
- Prepare, issue, and track court orders and related documentation
Court Filings & Service
- Perform electronic filing in applicable jurisdictions
- Prepare documents for service and monitor service completion
- Track deadlines and ensure timely and accurate submissions
Trial & Litigation Support
- Assist with trial preparation and coordination for a high-volume docket
- Support motion practice using template-based pleadings
- Coordinate pre-trial and trial logistics, including communication with courts and assigned attorneys
- Provide support for mediation and judgment-related proceedings
- Manage a fast-paced caseload environment, with 400+ matters in rotation (not assigned simultaneously)
Communication & Case Management
- Maintain direct communication with courts, opposing counsel, attorneys, vendors, and clients
- Update and monitor web-based case management and lender/servicer systems of record
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures, court rules, and regulatory requirements
Required Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid understanding of legal terminology, court procedures, pleadings, research methods, and legal processes
- Strong customer service skills with experience communicating directly with clients or customers
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet strict deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, deadline-driven, and occasionally high-stress environment
- Demonstrated discretion, sound judgment, and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and related software
Education & Experience
- Associate degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field preferred
- Paralegal certification preferred or a minimum of 2+ years of paralegal or closely related experience
- Transferable backgrounds that align well with this role include experience in:
- Real estate or title companies
- Criminal justice or legal administration
- Business-focused or operations-driven environments
- Roles requiring high case volume management and client communication
