Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist working onsite in our home care facility, you will thrive in an engaging atmosphere that emphasizes teamwork and open communication among staff. Our clinic operates Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a structured yet flexible work schedule that prioritizes work-life balance. You will often collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including orthopedic surgeons, occupational therapists, and rehabilitation specialists, ensuring comprehensive care that enhances patient recovery experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' functional abilities, limitations, and rehabilitation goals.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, incorporating evidence-based interventions to enhance mobility and alleviate pain.
• Utilize manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and modalities to optimize recovery outcomes for patients.
• Regularly engage with patients to educate them on home exercise programs, proper body mechanics, and strategies for injury prevention.
• Document treatment progress meticulously, in alignment with industry regulations and best practices for patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will focus primarily on patients recovering from orthopedic injuries and surgeries. This includes individuals with post-operative rehabilitation needs, sports injuries, musculoskeletal conditions, and chronic pain issues. By maintaining a patient-centered approach, you will help empower patients to take an active role in their recovery processes, facilitating their journey towards improved physical health.

Qualifications

• Possession of a Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree.
• Must hold a current, active Physical Therapy License from the state of New Jersey.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience, with a focus on orthopedic or outpatient settings preferred.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR for healthcare professionals.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years in practice is required, candidates with additional experience in sports rehabilitation, manual therapy, or geriatric therapy will be given special consideration. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems will also be beneficial, enhancing the efficiency of documentation and patient management.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include:
