Desired Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a paraprofessional or similar support role in a school setting
• Ability to effectively assist students with diverse learning needs, including those with autism
• Comfort working with elementary-aged children across various learning environments
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to coordinate with teachers and other school staff
• Patience, adaptability, and a nurturing approach to student engagement

Key Responsibilities:

• Offer classroom support under the supervision of lead teachers, fostering a positive learning space
• Provide individualized assistance to students, including those requiring intensive support
• Support daily routines, academic activities, and social integration for students within inclusion and specialized classrooms
• Assist in managing classroom behavior and ensuring a structured, safe environment
• Participate in team meetings and contribute observations regarding student progress
• Help prepare instructional materials and adapt lessons as needed to meet diverse student needs
