Outside Sales Representative

VOLUX Lighting, a division of Dynamic Visual Solutions, is the newest and fastest-growing stage lighting manufacturer providing valuable, innovative intelligent lighting solutions for a wide variety of entertainment and commercial markets.

The Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities nationwide, driving sales growth, building strong customer relationships, and representing the Volux Lighting brand throughout the industry while aligning with the company's goals for revenue and quality of service.

Primary Responsibilities

• Drive demand for our products by being an educator within the industry, creating sales opportunities, and building strong relationships with rental companies, production companies, touring vendors, designers, integrators, specifiers, and end-users.
• Develop and grow national accounts, including rental companies, production companies, touring productions, venue groups, and multi-site houses of worship.
• Maintain and expand the customer base across assigned national accounts to close profitable sales, coordinating with regional sales coverage so accounts do not overlap.
• Travel nationally for in-person meetings with decision-makers and to execute live demonstrations and shootouts of our products.
• Analyze industry trends and discover new opportunities for growth for the territory and the company.
• Collaborate with Volux Business Development and upper management to forecast sales, inventory, and profitability.
• Maintain continuous knowledge of the company's products and services, from both a technical and a sales perspective.
• Work with various teams within the company to achieve pre- and post-sales objectives with exceptional customer service.
• Work closely with the marketing, product, and customer service teams to ensure a cohesive approach to achieving sales goals and improving customer satisfaction.
• Keep pipeline, quotes, and customer activity current in the CRM.

Secondary Responsibilities

• Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to adjust sales strategies and approaches accordingly.
• Collect and analyze customer feedback to identify areas for improvement in products, services, or sales processes, and relay this information to the relevant departments.
• Attend trade shows, roadshows, and company-sponsored events, including LDI.

Requirements & Experience

This position requires direct, verified industry experience in Stage/Theatrical Lighting, Live Events, DMX, etc. Applicants without relevant industry experience will not be considered.

• Minimum 5 years of sales experience in Stage Lighting, Live Events, Pro Audio, Video, or LED. At least 3 years selling for a manufacturer or distributor preferred.
• Proven track record, consistently meeting or exceeding assigned quotas and close rates.
• Established network of active, decision-maker relationships with national rental companies, production companies, touring vendors, lighting designers, or integrators.
• Hands-on proficiency in programming moving light consoles and lighting fixtures, with the ability to run professional product demonstrations and shootouts independently.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate ideas clearly, concisely, and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Strong negotiation and closing skills.
• Consistent CRM discipline, keeping pipeline, quotes, and forecasts accurate and current; proficiency with MS Office.
• Ability to work independently in a remote role, managing time, priorities, and travel effectively.
• Must have a valid driver's license and passport.

Working Conditions

• Remote position. Qualifying applicants must reside in the continental United States and be reasonably located near a major airport.
• Travel required (40% or more).
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
• Occasionally required to stand while on site for shows and demonstrations.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
