Associate, Multifamily Asset Management - San Franscico

Overview Asset Management Associate – responsible for asset strategy, business plan development and execution, investment performance, lease analysis, redevelopment management, and refinancing/disposition analysis within the operating portfolio. Key Responsibilities Provide analytical support for asset management functions of existing properties, including quarterly valuations, cash management, hold/sell analyses, and ad‑hoc sensitivity analyses. Complete market research through third‑party data providers and local brokers to compile lease comparables, sale comparables, competitive sets, development pipelines, and general market data. Prepare presentation materials and proposals with responsibility for written and graphic requirements. Coordinate annual budgeting and reforecasting with property management, design & construction, leasing and accounting teams. Execute or establish an asset’s business plan; collaborate with investment partners and stakeholders such as architects, engineers, and marketing agencies. Manage refinancing and disposition activities as they arise. Analyze and track ongoing capital projects in coordination with design & construction teams and property management. Provide monthly investment reporting, evaluating operational performance, identifying key risks, tracking business plan execution, and providing asset‑level commentary. Support lender reporting responsibilities, including coordination of reporting requirements and maintaining compliance with debt covenants. Skills & Qualifications 3–5 years of experience in an analytically rigorous real‑estate or finance environment. Evident passion for real estate and desire to build a career on the principal side. Strong financial acumen, including experience analyzing property financial statements. Strong creative problem‑solving skills. Effective written and oral communication skills. Proficient in Excel, ARGUS Enterprise, and financial modeling. Ability to work effectively with peers and senior executives in a highly entrepreneurial, team‑oriented environment. Unwavering attention to detail. Willingness to travel to assets as needed. Location & Compensation San Francisco, CA Base compensation range: $115,000 – $130,000 per year, plus discretionary annual bonus.
