(CLS) Clinical Lab Scientist - Immunogenetics - 140409 Under general supervision, performs waived, moderate, and high complexity testing in an Immunogenetics and transplantation (HLA) laboratory; evaluates test results; performs and evaluates quality control procedures; performs preventive maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting. Provides laboratory services in a timely manner and consistently delivers excellent customer service. Serves as a technical resource for customers and other staff. Adheres to all safety policies. Performs other related CLS functions as required. Minimum Qualifications: Valid California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license or limited CLS license in Histocompatibility. Applicable clinical laboratory experience. Preferred Qualifications: One (1) year of professional-level experience in an accredited HLA laboratory. A Bachelor's degree in a Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or related science Certification by the American College of Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (ACHI) as a Certified Histocompatibility Technologist (CHT) or ACHI Certified Histocompatibility Specialist (CHS) or certification as a Medical Technologist by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists, MT(ASCP) Experience with various HLA testing methodologies such as HLA genotyping by NGS/RT-PCR/SSO/SSP, flow crossmatch, Single Antigen Bead assay, Flow PRA, etc. Special Conditions: Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays, overtime, and at various locations as necessary in accordance with operational needs.
