Step into a pivotal contract position serving Pre-K through 8th grade students as a district-based school psychologist. You’ll be essential in managing evaluations and supporting Early Intervention transitions—with a focus on collaboration and impactful clinical expertise rather than daily crisis management. This assignment features a dedicated, centralized work location and the opportunity to make a difference through vital assessment and referral duties, rather than traditional site-based interactions. With a manageable caseload focused on evaluations only (63 handled last year), your role will be instrumental in shaping student support strategies across the district.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist endorsement; candidates with pending certification considered
• Proven experience with Pre-K–8th grade student populations preferred
• Strong working knowledge of educational assessment and evaluation practices
• Ability to lead and participate in domain meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Experience overseeing Early Intervention transitions is highly valued
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Run and coordinate domain meetings to set the scope for student evaluations
• Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations for students across the district
• Oversee Early Intervention transition processes and activities, including conducting TPBA assessments (17 facilitated last year)
• Attend MTSS referral meetings as needed for individualized student support
• Maintain all necessary documentation and reporting within district and state guidelines
• Stationed at the district office for streamlined focus on district-wide needs

This role features a consistent Monday–Friday schedule, 7:45 AM–3:30 PM, ensuring predictable work hours and meaningful engagement with student progress throughout the academic year.
