Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics via standardized assessments and direct observation.
• Create tailored treatment plans that meet both immediate goals and long-standing communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver focused speech therapy sessions emphasizing areas like communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Engage collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals including physical and occupational therapists, physicians, and families to design integrated care approaches.
• Provide patient and family educational resources to encourage progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient visits for evaluations and interventions, ensuring all aspects of care are connected.
• Document patient progress meticulously according to state, federal, and corporate standards.
• Stay informed on recent developments in the field by pursuing continuing education and working with peers.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an approved institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for candidates not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
