Inspire transformative learning as a Special Education Teacher during the 2026–2027 school year with multiple contract positions available. This role provides an excellent opportunity to make a direct impact by supporting diverse learners across programs and school sites. You’ll play a vital part in fostering achievement and growth for students requiring specialized instruction within inclusive, structured environments.
Opportunities are open for Special Education Assessment Teachers, Setting III/IV (therapeutic) teachers, and center-based ASD instructors at the elementary level. These full-time assignments begin August 31, 2026 and run through the end of the academic year.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field
- Active Minnesota PELSB teaching license in special education or ability to obtain via reciprocity
- Demonstrated proficiency in IEP development, case management, evaluation, and compliance
- Experience in any of the following: ASD, EBD, Setting III/IV programs, functional behavioral assessments (FBAs), behavior intervention plans (BIPs), trauma-informed teaching, center-based classrooms, and working within multidisciplinary teams
- Understanding of IDEA, PBIS, MTSS, and Minnesota special education policy
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments, write reports, and participate in eligibility determinations
- Provide specialized, data-driven instruction and behavioral supports
- Collaborate with general education staff, related service providers, administrators, and families to support student success
- Maintain documentation for compliance and student progress; contribute to IEP and team meetings
- Maintain positive, organized, and supportive classroom and learning environments
