Production Worker

This role involves working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment producing bathroom sinks, countertops, showers, and bathtubs for residential construction and renovation. You will measure, pour, buff, sand, polish, and finish cultured marble and solid surface products, operate small hand tools, and ensure each item meets quality standards before packaging for storage.

Responsibilities

• Measure materials accurately using tape measures and other basic measuring tools to prepare products for manufacturing.
• Pour, buff, sand, polish, and finish freshly manufactured bathroom sinks, countertops, showers, and bathtubs made from cultured marble and solid surface materials.
• Operate small hand tools such as buffers and grinders safely and efficiently to achieve smooth and consistent finishes.
• Inspect products carefully for quality assurance, identifying defects or imperfections and ensuring all items meet established standards.
• Package finished products securely for storage and shipment, including building, loading, and packing as needed.
• Perform general production and general labor tasks on the manufacturing line to support overall plant operations.
• Work effectively in a hot, dusty, non-climate-controlled environment and remain focused despite noise in certain areas of the plant.
• Lift and move materials and finished products weighing up to 50 lbs as part of daily production activities.
• Maintain attention to detail throughout the production process to ensure accurate measurements, consistent finishes, and high-quality output.
• Follow all safety guidelines, including wearing appropriate attire and steel toe boots, to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and others.

Essential Skills

• Prior experience working in a non-climate-controlled environment, such as manufacturing, warehouse, or similar settings.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis as part of production and material handling tasks.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate measurements, high-quality finishes, and thorough product inspection.
• Comfort using basic hand tools, including buffers and grinders, in a production or general labor setting.
• Capability to perform general production and general labor tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing plant.
• Ability to work Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with occasional overtime on Saturdays when needed.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with tape measures and other measuring tools in a production or construction environment.
• Experience in packaging, packing, building, or loading products in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
• Comfort working in hot, dusty, and loud areas and maintaining productivity in challenging conditions.
• Willingness to work around resin, dust, paint, and similar materials that may affect clothing.
• Reliability in attendance and performance, which can contribute to pay increases over time.

Work Environment

The role is based in a manufacturing plant that operates Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with rare overtime opportunities on Saturdays. The facility is non-climate-controlled, very hot, and somewhat dirty and dusty, with certain areas that can be loud. Approximately 45 people work in the plant, creating an active, production-focused atmosphere. Employees should be comfortable with their clothing coming into contact with resin, dust, paint, and other materials that may cause stains or wear. The dress code includes jeans or shorts of appropriate length, a t-shirt, and steel toe boots to ensure safety and practicality on the production floor. A showroom at the front of the facility showcases the products manufactured in the plant for the general public to view and purchase.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wentzville, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
