Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Inspire and support young learners as a Special Education Teacher working with an exceptional team in a middle school setting. This full-time, contract opportunity runs from August 13, 2026, through June 3, 2027, offering you the chance to make a lasting impact during the school year. As a valued educator in this role, you’ll work with a dedicated caseload of 12 students in a mild to moderate self-contained classroom, fostering growth, inclusion, and academic achievement.

Essential Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification (applicable to middle school)
• Previous classroom experience supporting students with mild to moderate disabilities
• Strong understanding of IEP development, behavioral intervention strategies, and differentiated instruction
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and colleagues
• Ability to create a positive, structured, and compassionate learning environment
• Commitment to the academic and social-emotional success of each learner

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, standards-based instruction for students with mild to moderate needs
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families
• Monitor and document student progress, providing updates and adjustments as needed
• Foster self-advocacy, confidence, and inclusion for all students in your care
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school-based initiatives

This role promises a consistent weekday schedule from 7:15am–3:15pm, allowing for balance and predictability throughout the academic year.
