May provide direct patient careThis unit is dedicated to providing high quality, patient centered care for individuals undergoing cardiothoracic and vascular procedures including surgical interventions as well as general progressive patients. Currently a 24-bed unit, with expansion planned to 36 beds across 2 units. It is a fast-paced setting where patients require 24-hour complex care and continuous cardiac monitoring.QualificationsExperience: Minimum One year of nursing experience required Specialty Certifications: Specialty Certifications in area of practice preferred Education:Essential:Associate DegreeACLSCredentials:Essential:Registered Nurse; Licensure: State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License required.Degree from accredited academic nursing program (If a program is under conditional status, approval may be granted by system CNO)Additional Requirements based upon area of serviceCDS Inpatient Progressive and Critical Care Units: ACLS Emergency Departments: ACLS, PALS Pediatrics / PICU: PALS Newborn Nursery / Mother-Baby Care / NICU: NRP Family Birthing Center: NRP and Fetal Monitoring; permanent charge requires ACLS in addition to others Pre-op / Operating Room / PACU: ACLS, PALS Oncology Chemotherapy certificationWe're all about well-being, starting with yours.
