This role is responsible for overseeing core accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining strong internal controls across multiple locations. The Accounting Manager will lead a team of five accounting professionals and will be a visible, hands-on member of the Finance team, partnering closely with operations, FP&A, and corporate finance. The ideal candidate brings strong manufacturing accounting experience, a solid understanding of U.S. GAAP, financial reports and a proven people-leadership skills. This role requires both technical accounting expertise and the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, operationally focused environment.Key Responsibilities:Accounting & Financial CloseManage the monthly and annual close processes for Victaulic CompanyEnsure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP and company policiesReview journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet analysesCoordinate with FP&A on variance analysis, forecasts, and budget supportSupport consolidation and reporting requirements for corporate financeSupport M&A activity and ensuring standalone facilities are on schedule for closeInternal Controls & ComplianceMaintain and enforce strong internal controls across accounting functionsEnsure compliance with corporate accounting policies and proceduresParticipate in ongoing process improvement and control enhancement initiativesAudit Support – Internal and ExternalServe as a point of contact for auditors—ensuring complete, accurate, timely deliverablesPrepare schedules for annual external audit, December year endSupport multiple internal audit requests from site controls to specific department auditsLeadership & CollaborationLead, develop, and mentor U.S. accounting professionalsClearly define roles, responsibilities, and performance expectationsServe as a visible and engaged member of the Finance leadership teamPartner closely with plant leadership, operations, FP&A, and other finance functionsPromote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvementSystems & Process ImprovementLeverage ERP systems to improve reporting accuracy, efficiency, and controlsSupport system enhancements, integrations, and process standardization effortsIdentify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows across multiple sitesQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or FinanceCPA or CMA preferred6–10+ years of progressive accounting experienceStrong knowledge of U.S. GAAPExperience managing and developing a teamProficiency with ERP systems in a multi-site organization within a complex environmentPreferred Experience:Experience in a manufacturing entityBackground in standard costingExperience working closely with plant operations and finance leadershipExposure to system implementations or process transformation initiativesPrior experience with acquisitions, consolidating financials and ERP transitionVictaulic is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EOE/M/F/Vets/Disabled) employer and welcomes all qualified applicants.
