About the job Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Full Job Description U.S.based, leading and international Freight Forwarding & LogisticsService Provider, with Caribbean focus, (HQ in Miami) is seeking torecruit a Chief Executive Officer. The incumbent will be responsible forproviding strategic, financial and operational leadership across theorganization that align with overall company policies, culture andvision. Primary Responsibilities: Provide leadership to position the organization at the forefront ofthe industry. Develop a strategic plan to advance the organization’smission and objectives to promote revenue, profitability and growth. Oversee the operations to ensure production efficiency, quality, service and cost effective management of resources. Plan, develop, implement and direct the organization’s operational and fiscal function and performance. Act as a strategic partner by developing and implementing the company’s plans and programs. Analyze and make recommendation on the impact of long-range growthinitiatives, planning, and introduction of new strategies and regulatoryactions. Develop credibility and authority for the finance leadership teamby providing accurate analysis of budgets, reports and financial trendsand operational procedures in order to assist the senior executive team. Create, improve, implement and enforce policies and procedures ofthe organization that will improve operational and financialeffectiveness across the network of offices. Communicate effectively and establish credibility throughout theorganization, and with the senior executives, as an effective developerof solutions to business challenges. Provide financial guidance and advice to others within executive leadership. Improve the planning and budgeting process on a continual basis byeducating departments and key members of corporate leadership. Provide strategic input and leadership on decision-making issuesaffecting the organization; specifically relating to the evaluation ofpotential mergers, acquisitions or partnerships. Optimize the handling of banking relationships and work closely with CFO to foster and grow strategic financial partnerships. Work with the finance team to develop a solid cash flow projectionand reporting mechanism, which includes setting a minimum cash thresholdto meet operating needs. Act as a strategic advisor and consultant offering advice oncontracts, negotiations or business deals that the corporation may enterinto. Evaluate company’s financial, operational, and sales and marketingstructures to plan for continual improvements and a continual increaseof operating efficiencies. Mentor and interact with members of staff at all levels to fostergrowth and encourage development among senior executive team and allmembers of staff across the network. Strong leadership ability. Requirements and Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in business or accounting. Professional designation a plus. 10-15 years of industry experience.
