Senior Business Analyst

ASSYST is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support our client's agile/hybrid development and application modernization initiatives. The role will work with business stakeholders, SMEs and technical teams to gather and translate business needs into clear business and technical requirements. Summary: The Senior Business Analyst will support requirements gathering, business process analysis, workflow modeling, solution analysis, testing, migration planning, remediation and modernization activities. The candidate will facilitate stakeholder workshops, prepare analysis artifacts and business cases, support testing readiness and maintain accurate documentation throughout the SDLC. Job Title: Senior Business Analyst Location: Tallahassee, FL 32311 (Onsite) Interview Process: In-Person Interview Roles & Responsibilities: Gather, analyze, document and validate business and technical requirements. Facilitate workshops and requirements sessions with executives, SMEs, business users and technical teams. Perform as-is/to-be analysis, gap analysis, process modeling, workflow analysis and process improvement. Develop business rules, use cases, technical specifications, context diagrams and functional documentation. Translate business requirements into actionable technical specifications and solution requirements. Support application modernization, remediation, migration, enhancement and sunset initiatives. Assist with migration planning, dependency identification, environment validation, remediation tracking and application readiness. Plan and support functional, regression, data validation, system integration, load and performance testing. Prepare business cases, feasibility studies, executive-ready presentations and analysis artifacts. Analyze complex information and communicate requirements effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Collaborate across business, security and technology teams throughout the development lifecycle. Required Skills: 10+ years of experience in business process analysis and requirements documentation. Bachelor's or master's degree in Business Administration, Communication, Information Systems, or related field; equivalent experience may substitute. Strong experience with requirements gathering, business process analysis, process mapping, as-is/to-be analysis, gap analysis and business case development. Proficiency with Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience translating business requirements into technical specifications. Knowledge of SDLC, data migration, testing/QA, change and release management. Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, workshop and communication skills. Experience with SharePoint and Microsoft Teams. Azure DevOps experience for requirements/backlog management is preferred. Power BI exposure is preferred. Knowledge of Florida IT standards, methodologies, governance practices and Project Management Rule 60GG-1 is preferred. Knowledge of Florida Administrative Code Rules 60GG-1 through 60GG-5 is desired. Preferred Certifications: CSM, CSO, CBAP, PMI-PBA, PMI-ACP, PMP, or ITIL. ASSYST is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
