Vice President Supply Chain Department: Legal Employment Type: Full Time Location: US TX Houston - Corporate Office Description About Us: The Caturus platform was founded by Kimmeridge, an alternative asset manager focused on the energy sector, with subsequent additional investment by Mubadala Energy. Caturus is building an independent, fully integrated natural gas and LNG export platform in the U.S. through a combination of its upstream operations and Commonwealth LNG, a 9.5 Mtpa LNG export terminal in southwestern Louisiana. Together, they will provide low-cost energy on demand with the lowest carbon footprint. Job Description Position Summary: The VP, Supply Chain is responsible for developing and executing the company’s end‑to‑end global supply chain strategy across procurement, contracting, logistics, materials management, warehousing, and supplier performance. This role ensures the reliable, cost‑effective, and timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services in support of the company’s LNG, natural gas, and infrastructure development and operations. As a senior leader, the VP, Supply Chain partners closely with all the departments in the company to align supply chain strategy with long‑term business objectives. The role provides strategic leadership across all phases of asset lifecycle while establishing strong governance, risk management, and supplier relationships. Key Accountabilities: Develop and execute strategic procurement plans by interpreting global industry trends, customer requirements and business objectives Oversee supply chain operations, including sourcing, logistics, inventory management, and distribution. Optimize procurement activities to ensure most effective procurement strategies. Monitor market trends and adjust strategies to address potential supply disruptions. Drive procurement strategies and supplier engagement to ensure the achievement of business objectives Identify and mitigate risks within the supply chain and procurement processes. Build and execute the procurement process to ensure timely fulfillment of procurement requests Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to build solid supply chain management Conduct procurement processes to ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulations Analyze data to drive decision-making and improve overall effectiveness. Develop and execute supply chain strategies aligned with organizational goals to build an effective and competitive supply chain Collaborate internally and externally to build the supply chain, drive cost reduction and contract execution Drive the supplier development to improve the quality system of key suppliers Provide fact-based analysis to support targeted competitive market positioning and growth Conduct thorough assessments of potential suppliers based on their quality management systems, capabilities, and past performance. Utilize audits and site visits to evaluate supplier processes and quality controls. Engage with client leaders to understand their requirements and address them in the solutions lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement and supply chain team. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and corporate social responsibility initiatives. Qualifications: Education, Certificates, and Licenses: Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, supply chain or a relevant field required MBA preferred Experience: 20+ years of Supply Chain experience in the oil & gas industry required 10+ years of leadership experience required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, processes and technologies Proven track record of leading procurement transformations and implementing processes Strong negotiation and vendor management skills Financial acumen and budgeting experience. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent leadership, communication and analytical skills Proficiency in procurement technologies and tools Deep understanding of procurement compliance and risk management Experience with ERP systems and procurement software.
