About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President of Sales to lead the generation of new sales opportunities, foster customer relationships, and negotiate transportation agreements that contribute to revenue growth. The successful candidate will be instrumental in expanding the company's market presence, particularly in the Midwest, and will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, leading pricing negotiations, and managing transportation contracts. This role requires a results-driven individual with a strong focus on revenue, excellent negotiation and influencing abilities, and a strategic yet hands-on approach to sales. Applicants for the Vice President of Sales position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with 5-15 years of sales experience in logistics or transportation. A proven track record in selling transportation services within complex distribution networks and experience with both domestic and international supply chains are essential. The role demands advanced skills in sales strategy development, contract negotiation, market analysis, and a strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, collaborative team player with the ability to adapt to changing market conditions and a strong focus on accountability and performance metrics.
