Job Details Job Location: Christian Appalachian Project Inc - Paintsville, KY 41240, Position Type: Full Time, Education Level: High School, Salary Range: $17.29 Hourly, Job Shift: Day, PAY RATE: $17.29 Hourly (Pay is negotiable based on experience) Summary Assists the Elderly Home Repair Crew Leader with crews, volunteers and participants in the work activities of home repair and the construction of new homes for low‑income families/individuals. Essential Job Functions Under the guidance of a CAP Crew Leader, performs basic construction activities and assists with the oversight of construction activities of the home repair workers, volunteers, and homeowners. Once fully trained, may be called upon to lead projects during WorkFest or YouthFest, our alternative spring break programs for college and high school students. Also, may lead projects during group volunteer season. 80% Assists the Crew Leader with assessments of jobs prior to repairs and securing needed materials before and during construction. Follows all safety procedures. Responsible for personal safety and safety of other crew members. 10% Assists the Crew Leader in the care and accountability of all equipment and tools. CPR and First Aide (or ability to obtain) Required Ability to pass the OSHA 10‑hour safety course exam Required EPA Certification for Lead Renovator (or ability to obtain) Required Medical Examiner's Certificate for towing/trailer (or ability to obtain) Required Physical Requirements Ability to reach, push, pull, bend, stoop, stand, walk Ability to crawl, kneel, and/or climb Lift 80 lbs from ground and carry 50 ft and place on shelf at 36 inches Lift 45 lbs and carry 50 ft with one hand Climb 10 ft step ladder carrying 70 lbs Lift 50 lbs from ground and place on a 100‑inch shelf, may use step ladder if needed Lifts/moves items with unknown weight or that are awkward shapes and sizes with assistance Walk 100 ft on uneven ground Work in close spaces Have good visual acuity with corrective lenses Have good hearing capabilities Stand for extended periods of time #J-18808-Ljbffr Paycom
