Job Details Job Location: Summerbrooke - KEMAH, TX 77565 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: 2 Year Degree Salary Range: $30.00 - $31.00 Hourly Travel Percentage: Negligible Job Shift: Day Job Category: Facilities As a residential Maintenance Technician, you are responsible for ongoing facility maintenance and repairs to keep the company’s multifamily property operating and appearing at its best. Responsibilities You will use your four-plus years of experience in property maintenance (either in a residential or hospitality setting) to address work orders before issues escalated into major problems. You’ve performed light carpentry, are experienced with minor electrical or plumbing repairs, and are comfortable working on HVAC systems. You obtain and maintain one or more relevant certifications (EPA, CPO, HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing) to handle more complex repair and maintenance work. You proactively address routine maintenance and overall cleanliness of the property, including resident amenities such as the pool and clubhouse. You maintain a friendly and efficient approach when engaging with residents in their units and about the property. You commit to creating a safe working environment for the team and a safe living environment for residents, using a safety‑first approach to everything you do. You will work full‑time Monday through Friday and may be required for occasional on‑call hours as set by the Property Management team. You must maintain your own tool kit for most work orders and may use a company‑owned vehicle or your own vehicle to move around the property or pick up supplies; a valid driver’s license is required. Possess strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to meet goals and deadlines. Function well in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment. Possess basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Education and Experience High school diploma or GED required, plus a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience, preferably in property management or hospitality. Technical degree in a related area or relevant certifications (HVAC, EPA, CPO, Plumbing, Electrical) preferred. Prior experience in general building maintenance or painting in a commercial residential environment, including light carpentry, electrical, or plumbing. Prior experience in maintaining and repairing HVAC systems. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must own tools. Valid driver’s license to operate company‑owned vehicles or utilize personal vehicle for work. Physical Requirements Expected work hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, plus scheduled on‑call hours and occasional weekends. May need to drive a company‑owned or personal vehicle for work. Able to frequently lift or move items weighing up to 25 pounds; occasionally up to 50 pounds. Able to use hands to manipulate tools and objects or control equipment; requires adequate vision. Able to stand for extended periods, walk, climb stairs and ladders, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl in various weather conditions. FLSA Status: Nonexempt.
