Facility Technician II

Clean Harbors located in La Porte, TX is seeking a Facility Technician II to add to the team. The Facility Technician II for La Porte, TX will be responsible for completing all assigned warehouse duties in a safe and responsible manner. This position will wear C level PPE and work with the pumping team to pump drums, will work in QC for chemicals, operate forklifts, perform manual labor, and manage inventory. Shift: 6:30am-3:00pm Monday-Friday. Overtime and Saturdays as needed. Pay: $21 DOE. Why work for Clean Harbors? Responsibilities Ensure that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times; Load and unload route trucks; Wear level C PPE; Perform manual labor of drum washing; Pump drums; Work with chemical profiles to identify matches to tankers; Use forklifts routinely to sort pallets and unload; Use camlock and hardlines to connect/disconnect tankers; Manage inventory order and receiving process; Maintain general housekeeping and keep a clean work area; Ensure waste is stored in a safe and proper manner; Resolve issues with materials in conjunction with office team staff; Perform all other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required; Experience working in C Level PPE preferred; Experience working with chemical profiles preferred; Experience and familiarity with Excel, Word, etc.; 2+ years of related labor and computer experience; Ability to drive trucks within facility; Forklift skills preferred or willing to learn.
