Job Overview Fishs Eddy is looking for a Back of House (BOH) Supervisor to oversee and own the daily operations that keep our store running smoothly behind the scenes. This is a highly hands‑on, physically active role responsible for maintaining the organization, accuracy, and efficiency of all back‑of‑house processes—from inventory receiving and stockroom management to product pricing and operational support across the store. You will partner closely with our Shipping and Receiving Specialist and Store Operations Specialists to ensure inventory is processed accurately, stockrooms remain organized and accessible, and operational tasks are completed in a timely and thoughtful way. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the sales floor is supported with the right product in the right place at the right times. While this position does not have direct reports, you will collaborate regularly with front‑of‑house staff and may request assistance as needed with approval from the manager on duty. Once support is approved, you will be responsible for delegating tasks and ensuring work is completed effectively. Key Responsibilities Own and manage all back‑of‑house operations to ensure the store runs efficiently and products are readily available for the sales floor. Oversee inventory receiving, ensuring shipments are accurately checked in, processed, and communicated to the appropriate teams. Maintain a highly organized and functional stockroom, including clear product categorization, accessibility, and cleanliness. Manage and execute product pricing updates, ensuring items are labeled accurately and in a timely manner. Partner closely with the Shipping and Receiving Specialist and Store Operations Specialists to coordinate daily operational tasks and priorities. Monitor inventory flow from receiving to stockroom to sales floor to ensure product availability and operational efficiency. Support the sales floor by ensuring merchandise is replenished and back stock is maintained in an orderly system. Regularly lift, carry, and move heavy merchandise—including cases of dishware, glassware, and other ceramics weighing up to 50 lbs—as an essential, everyday function of the role. Identify operational needs and request support from Front of House staff through the Manager on Duty when additional help is required. Delegate and coordinate approved tasks to supporting staff to ensure work is completed effectively and efficiently. Troubleshoot day‑to‑day operational challenges and proactively improve back‑of‑house systems and workflows. Maintain accuracy in inventory handling, minimizing loss and ensuring proper product tracking. Assist with operational projects and store initiatives as needed to support overall store performance. Qualifications & Skills Experience in retail operations, inventory management, stockroom operations, or a similar back‑of‑house environment. Highly organized and detail‑oriented, with strong accuracy in inventory receiving, product handling, and pricing. Ability to manage multiple operational priorities and maintain efficient systems and workflows. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to coordinate across teams and delegate tasks when support is approved. Proactive and dependable, with the ability to take ownership of responsibilities and problem‑solve day‑to‑day operational challenges. Comfortable working in a physically demanding, hands‑on role. Must be able to lift and move merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs and spend extended time on your feet. Flexible and willing to support broader store operations and projects as needed.
