Air Reserve Technician (ART) Journeyman Mechanic

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) journeyman mechanic that troubleshoots, tests, repairs, modifies, overhauls, services, and dispatches powered ground support equipment and to train reservists in the accomplishment of tasks set forth herein.

• Performs preventive maintenance on ground power support systems
• Performs major maintenance on ground support equipment such as power sources, major components, support components, and associated components.
• Performs periodic routine and special inspections of all scheduled equipment
• Maintains records and documents actions. Maintains and controls tools. Certifies work produced under the USAF Technical Order Program
• Utilizes safety practices and procedures and complies with following established security and safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work environment. Cleans work area and equipment

• Must be able to obtain and maintain secret security clearance.

• This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use.
• Employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, to include evenings, weekends and/or holidays
• Shift work and emergency overtime may be required
• Employee must maintain current certifications
• Must be a current member of the AF Reserve or willing/qualified to join
