Locum Physician (MD/DO) - Emergency Medicine

Role Emergency Medicine physician providing coverage in a high‑volume emergency department with 42 beds and approximately 49,500 annual visits. Responsibilities Deliver emergency medical care, support a team with APPs, and adapt to ED protocols. Coverage includes a variety of shifts, with scribe support and EMR systems transitioning from Meditech to Epic. Qualifications MD or DO with completed residency in Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine. Board certification (ABEM, AOBEM, or ABFM with recent ED experience). Active Louisiana medical license, DEA with Louisiana address, ACLS, PALS, and ATLS (for Family Medicine). Must have recent case logs and be credentialed within approximately 90 days. Skills & Requirements Ability to manage high patient volumes, work flexible shifts, and adhere to credentialing and licensing standards.
