Step into a supportive and forward-thinking school environment as an Occupational Therapist serving elementary-aged students in a contract role. This position offers a flexible schedule with full-time hours (37.5 per week) and the possibility of considering part-time candidates. The assignment starts as soon as possible and extends through May 29, 2026, with potential to continue beyond that date. Work with both resource and self-contained classrooms, where you'll play an essential role in student development and success.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist licensure in Illinois (IL certified OT required)
- Experience or strong interest in school-based OT services, specifically with elementary students
- Comfort working with a diverse student population, including those in self-contained settings
- Commitment to collaboration and continuous professional development
- COTAs are not eligible for this position
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to elementary students
- Implement individualized treatment plans and support student access to the curriculum
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Participate in monthly team meetings, roundtable discussions, and regular leader check-ins
- Engage in process improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery
- Document and report student progress and performance
