Geographic flexibility is available, with a preference for candidates located in the Eastern or Central time zones. Candidates should be comfortable traveling periodically for leadership meetings, team collaboration, and other business needs.

An established, growing consumer products company is seeking a Vice President of Marketing to lead the next stage of brand and demand growth. This opportunity is for a modern consumer marketer who thinks beyond traditional brand management. We’re looking for someone who has helped build a repeatable demand-generation engine—using social, creators, digital media, content, and disciplined experimentation to reach new consumers and translate attention into measurable business growth.

The right leader will combine strategic marketing leadership with a builder’s mentality. You should be able to point to specific examples of what you helped create, how you tested and refined the approach, what worked, what didn’t, and how those decisions ultimately affected consumer demand and commercial results.

What You’ll Do

• Lead marketing strategy with a strong focus on consumer demand, awareness, trial, and measurable growth
• Build and scale social, creator, influencer, affiliate, and community-driven programs that expand consumer reach
• Develop testing frameworks that allow the team to learn quickly, identify winning creative and channels, and scale investment based on results
• Connect marketing activity to meaningful business metrics and ROI—not simply impressions, engagement, or awareness
• Shape compelling brand positioning and storytelling that clearly communicates why consumers should care and buy
• Guide integrated marketing across digital, content, creators, paid media, PR, consumer activation, and other relevant channels
• Use consumer behavior, performance data, and market insights to continually refine strategy and investment
• Lead and develop an established marketing organization while remaining close enough to the work to understand what is driving performance
• Partner across sales, product, digital commerce, and executive leadership to turn consumer demand into broader business growth
• Determine the right balance of internal capabilities, technology, and outside partners
• Contribute to longer-term growth strategy as a member of the senior leadership team

What We’re Looking For

• 10+ years of progressive consumer marketing experience with meaningful leadership responsibility
• Demonstrated success building or materially scaling consumer demand, rather than simply maintaining an established brand
• Strong experience with modern social and digital marketing, including creator, influencer, affiliate, community, or related consumer-acquisition strategies
• A track record of using testing, data, and measurable KPIs/ROI to determine where and how to invest
• Experience testing and building growth efficiently before scaling larger investments
• Ability to explain in detail the strategies you personally helped develop—the business problem, hypothesis, testing process, decisions, execution, and measurable outcome
• Strong understanding of how brand positioning and storytelling support consumer acquisition and growth
• Experience working effectively with internal teams and external partners without relying exclusively on agencies to drive strategy
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to develop teams and influence across an organization

Experience That Could Translate Well

• Relevant backgrounds may include consumer health and wellness, functional food or beverage, beauty and personal care, lifestyle products, digitally native consumer brands, or other high-growth CPG categories.
• Experience in a specific product category is less important than demonstrating that you have helped create a consumer growth engine and understand why it worked, how you measured it, and how you would do it again.
