Legal Assistant - Litigation (Med Mal/Insurance Defense)

LHH is seeking a dedicated Legal Assistant to support a busy litigation team focused on medical malpractice and insurance defense . The ideal candidate brings 2+ years of lawfirm experience, thrives in a fastpaced environment, and can work independently while collaborating closely with attorneys and staff.


Key responsibilities

• Prepare legal documents and correspondence from draft through proofread final.
  
  
• Reformat pleadings; coordinate efiling in Federal, State, and Appellate courts.
  
  
• Manage complex scheduling and calendaring for attorneys, clients, experts, and local counsel.
  
  
• Coordinate preparation and filing of pleadings and briefs ; handle service of process .
  
  
• Organize and maintain electronic case files and ensure document accuracy.
  
  

Qualifications

• 5+ years supporting attorneys in a lawfirm setting (med mal/insurance defense preferred).
  
  
• Exceptional organization , writing , and communication skills.
  
  
• Ability to multitask , prioritize, and meet deadlines under pressure; teamoriented with a positive attitude.
  
  
• Knowledge of legal terminology and medical terminology .
  
  
• Proficiency with MS Office , Zoom , Adobe , Dropbox ; experience with Perfect Law and M365 is a plus.
  
  
• Comfortable working independently and carrying assignments to completion with limited guidance.
  
  

Compensation & benefits

• Salary: $60,000-$85,000 , commensurate with experience and qualifications.

• Additional income opportunities may include discretionary profitsharing and a meritbased bonus .
  
  

Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $85,000.00 per year
