Work Schedule: 9:00A – 5:00P

Job Description

An Addison Group Client is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Specialist to join a growing team. This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional looking to expand their skill set, gain hands-on experience across multiple accounting functions, and contribute to a collaborative and fast-paced finance team.

 

Responsibilities:

• Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely and accurate payment in accordance with company policies
• Reconcile vendor statements, investigate discrepancies, and resolve outstanding issues in a timely manner
• Manage the full-cycle accounts payable process, including purchase order matching, coding, and approval workflows
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards
• Support the preparation of financial reports and assist with internal and external audits as needed
• Collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, operations, and other departments to resolve billing and payment inquiries
• Identify opportunities to improve and streamline accounting processes and workflows

Experience:

• 2+ years of experience in an accounting or finance role, with a strong focus on Accounts Payable
• Solid understanding of general accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency in accounting software and experience with Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage competing priorities
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-first mindset
