Responsibilities
- Serve as on-site House Supervisor, providing leadership and oversight of the hospital's operations across ED, Birthplace, Surgical Services, med-surg units, and ICU.
- Monitor patient flow, staffing, and productivity; coordinate with the centralized staffing office to ensure appropriate coverage and coverage for 24/7 operations.
- Collaborate with ICU charge/providers on Rapid Response and Code Team activities; participate in code management and crisis intervention as needed.
- Ensure compliance with infection control, isolation procedures, narcotic oversight, regulatory requirements (DPH, TJC, OSHA), and incident reporting.
- Support off-shift nurse manager (4p-2a) and provide supervision across shifts; manage bed allocation, discharge planning, and documentation standards.
- Promote patient safety and quality metrics, including discharge planning, documentation accuracy in EPIC, and staff coaching/counseling as needed.

Requirements
- Active NY RN license in hand to submit
- Minimum 1 year RN experience; prior charge/supervisory experience required
- Travel experience required; unit does not accept first-time travelers
- Must be >75 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted)
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS
- EPIC charting experience required
- Inpatient acute care and med-surg familiarity; ability to float across units as needed
- Crisis management, de-escalation, and experience with rapid response and code procedures
